Hi Everyone!
Today I went to see "Star Trek (2) Into Darkness" at the cinema and I cannot tell you how much I loved it - it was amazing and it has left me wanting a third film so desperately! Even if you're not a trekkie I think it's a film that everyone can love.
I also can't believe that I'm already at my "tenth pair" mark - when I think about the 10 earrings I've worn and then my collection as a whole, it does put the size of my collection into perspective! ;)

Because I went to the cinema and met with a friend I decided to wear a pair of Russian Doll earrings (because of course that makes total sense - see friends = wear Russian Doll earrings):
They are (predominantly) a beautiful shade of red and are adorned with roses on the "dress" section of the doll - there is so much intricate detail on the face and body sections that they are really stunning to look at. In design, the earrings are segmented into four pieces and have little gaps in between each segment. The exterior detail is gold and the links in between each section are gold as well.
When wearing them, the earrings hang really nicely and are of medium size and weight - because they are segmented, you can almost feel each piece moving separately from the others and they have a definite "swing" to them (which I love)!
They definitely add a little something extra to an outfit and from my experience they can be very eye-catching - I think the design is something that is a little unexpected in a pair of earrings! I really wish that I had these earrings in different colours (for instance a blue doll instead of red) as I think they are very versatile, they can be worn with a simple outfit to dress the look up or they can be worn with an already dressed-up outfit.
As a whole, the colour and overall look of these earrings is definitely unusual and to me, very appealing - after all, Russian Doll earrings aren't something that you tend to see on a day-to-day basis!
Thanks for stopping by! :)
